Project Electrical Engineer

538 Broadhollow Rd, Melville, NY 11747, USA Job Description H2M’s electrical engineering team offers a wide range of electrical engineering design and consultation services. Working with architects, engineers, and environmental scientists, you will be executing electrical engineering design work for both public and private clients. You will also coordinate the efforts of both in-house and outside teams who handle power generation, distribution, low voltage, lighting, communication, fire alarm and security system design. H2M is actively seeking a Project Engineer in our Electrical Department to support our growth in a variety of market sectors who will be responsible for: Project design and development tasks, including drawings, calculations, cost estimates, and specifications related specifically to public and commercial building types Design of electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting and fire alarm Project coordination with other engineering and architecture departments Client relationships and responding to questions and comments Construction administration including attending project meetings, reviewing contractor submittals and providing clarifications when required Other responsibilities as assigned The ideal candidate will possess the following: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited program 5+ years of experience with a consulting engineering firm designing power, distribution, lighting, and fire alarm systems EIT, PE preferred High level of technical performance with strong work ethic Ability to work productively and cooperatively with team members and clients Strong verbal and written communication skills Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit, and Easy Power desired Experience with IT infrastructure and network communications a plus Salary range for this role is $80,000 - $120,000 annually. The employment offer may deviate from this published range based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, experience, specialty, knowledge, education, geography and/or related certifications – not related to an applicant’s characteristics protected by local, state or federal law.
