Life Sciences Lab Assistant - SC Students ONLY

Description:

This student will perform multiple tasks as needed by Life Sciences faculty. This position will be paid a $2000.00/semester stipend. Fall semester: equal payments for September, October, November, and December. Spring semester: equal payments for January, February, March, April, and May. Stipends are paid on the monthly payroll and a payroll calendar will be provided during onboarding.

The candidate should be able to:

Assist students and faculty with location of materials and resources
Oversee special lab tasks or projects, at the direction of faculty
Take initiative in processes or tasks that might improve lab efficiency
Collaborate with faculty and other students on planning and procedures,
Explain and demonstrate processes (or parts of processes) as assigned by faculty,
Use available resources to research and prepare for labs or projects.
Lift and move boxes and equipment within lab and building spaces.
