Retirement Advice LLC | Provo, Utah | In-Person | Part-Time or Full-Time About Us Retirement Advice LLC is a client-focused financial planning practice based in Provo, Utah, specializing in retirement, Social Security optimization, tax, and estate planning strategies. We help clients navigate complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence. As we grow, we're looking for an Associate Financial Planner to support our advisory work and client relationships. Position Summary This role is built for someone who loves the analytical and service side of financial planning — not the sales side. You'll work closely with our lead advisor to prepare for client meetings, build financial plans, research investment options, run retirement projections, and make sure every client feels well taken care of. This is a behind-the-scenes, detail-driven role that's essential to delivering great advice. This is an in-person position based at our Provo office, with a flexible schedule that allows for working from home some days. We're open to either a part-time or full-time arrangement depending on the right fit. What You'll Do Prepare materials and analysis ahead of financial planning meetings Conduct financial planning analysis, including cash flow, tax, and retirement scenarios Assist with investment research and due diligence Build and update retirement projections and planning models Support client service: responding to client questions, processing requests, and keeping client records current Help maintain accurate documentation across our planning and CRM systems Who We're Looking For We're hiring for fit and mindset, not just résumé. You might be a great match if you are: A soon-to-graduate or recent graduate of a financial planning program who is on track to sit for the CFP® exam A professional returning to the workforce — for example, someone who stepped away to raise a family and is ready to bring their skills and maturity back into a professional role Either path is welcome. Ideal Personality & Strengths Prepare materials and analysis ahead of financial planning meetings Genuinely enjoys working with and helping people Highly detail-oriented — comfortable double-checking numbers and catching small errors before they become big one s Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple client files at once Comfortable with numbers, spreadsheets, and financial concepts (or eager to learn quickly) Not required to be a natural salesperson — this role is planning and service-focused, not business development Qualifications Degree (or near-completion of a degree) in financial planning, personal financial planning, finance, or a related field — or equivalent relevant experience Strong Excel skills; comfort learning financial planning software and CRM tools Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive client information with care CFP® coursework or progress toward the CFP® designation is a plus, but not required Willingness to eventually obtain a Series 65 license Part-time: Up to $25/hour, based on experience Full-time: Up to $55,000/year, based on experience Annual raises to be expected 401(k) with company match Flexible schedule, including some work-from-home days We cover the cost of CFP® exam prep and licensing exam fees, including the Series 65 license this role will eventually need Compensation will be discussed based on experience and the specific arrangement (part-time vs. full-time).
