Sr. Design Engineer Consultant - HVAC

About The Role As a CBRE Design Engineer Sr Consultant, you will be responsible for managing design activities related to construction and other projects for medium to large‑sized clients. You will work closely with project teams to ensure the successful delivery of high‑quality design solutions. What You’ll Do Identify the client's project goals, objectives, and quality expectations through data and research. Act as a liaison between key stakeholders and the project team, building lasting relationships. Ensure HSSE compliance in all designs and creations within the project. Oversee all phases of the design, documentation, and construction process, including programming, contract administration, and coordination of consultants. Work with the marketing department to create complex proposals, schedules, and fees. Manage all matters related to project initiation and implementation, development, and execution, including financial performance and preparation of consultant agreements. Plan, organize, and supervise the work of a multi‑disciplined project staff, scheduling and adhering to budget projections. Apply advanced knowledge to seek and develop new, better methods for accomplishing both individual and department objectives. Showcase expertise in your own discipline and in‑depth knowledge of other disciplines within the organization. Coach others to develop in‑depth knowledge and expertise in most or all areas within the function. Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, anticipating potential objections and persuading others to adopt new viewpoints. Impact the achievement of customer, operational, project, or service objectives across multi‑discipline teams, guided by functional policies. Contribute to new products, processes, standards, and/or operational plans to support functional goals. Communicate difficult and complex ideas with the ability to influence. Solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions with a broad impact on the business. Use innovative methods to think beyond existing solutions. What You’ll Need Bachelor's Degree preferred with 8‑10 years of relevant experience; a combination of experience and education may be considered in lieu of a degree. NCIDQ certification or Architectural license required. The innovative mentality to develop methods that go beyond existing solutions. Ability to solve unique problems using standard and innovative solutions with a broad impact on the business. In‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook). Expert organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset. Strong leadership skills to motivate the team to achieve broad operational targets across job disciplines. Ability to lead the exchange of sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance expectations, and handle problems. Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring, measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention (preferred).
