Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology – 6E Unit ChristianaCare Hospital, located in Newark, DE, is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our 6E Oncology Unit, a 38-bed inpatient unit specializing in hematology and oncology. Scheduled and emergency care and procedures are available 24/7. Shift Options: 8‑hour day shift (7 am–3 pm), 8‑hour evening shift (3 pm–11 pm), or a combination of 12‑hour and 8‑hour shifts. Weekend and holiday requirements will follow departmental guidelines. Responsibilities Implement a relationship‑based care model focused on building strong connections with patients, families, and colleagues, guided by the core values of love and excellence. Execute scheduled and emergency care and procedures for patients diagnosed with cancer and related conditions, including chemotherapy administration and management of febrile neutropenia, uncontrolled pain, and nausea/vomiting. Assist with patient admission, transfer, and discharge from various sources including homes, the emergency department, physicians’ offices, and other hospital units. Provide medical management to both adult and geriatric patients, monitoring patient status and responding to changes in their condition. Qualifications Active DE RN License or a Compact RN License. BSN or a commitment to obtaining a BSN within three years of hire. BLS certification required. Registered Nurse with 1–2 years of med/surg experience preferred. Oncology certification preferred. Hourly Pay Range: $41.28 – $66.05 (actual salary will depend on qualifications and experience). Benefits Full medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
