The #1 Priority of this position is...

To assist residents with the self administration of medications in accordance with physician's order and AHCA regulations.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Keep track of medicine count and report to ADRC when it is time to refill medications according to policies & procedures.
Maintain MOR and ensure that it is correct & up-to-date.
Assist in transporting residents to and from the dining room as needed.

Qualifications

Must have a Florida Certified Nursing Assistant certificate for at least 2 years.
Must have a high school degree or equivalent.
Current State of Florida Department of Elder Affairs - Assistance with Medications in ALF setting certification required.
Current CPR certification required.
Certified four (4) hour Med Pass course. Must be re-certified annually.
Previous experience in a long-term care setting is preferred.
Ability to speak, read and write in English required. Spanish preferred.
Basic math skills required.

Responsible, always on time, resourceful, very accurate and detail-oriented.
Flexible as to work schedule. Must be available to work on weekends, holidays & in emergencies.
Must be able to work under pressure and multi-task.
Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and the ability to work independently AND as a team member.
Demonstrate excellent verbal communications, interpersonal skills and empathetic listening.
