American Eagle’s operations run around the clock, delivering concrete to critical infrastructure projects. The IT Manager leads the technology function that keeps crews productive and the business scaling. The CFO is looking for a strategic thought partner who can bring a unified approach to how American Eagle uses technology, AI, and data to grow. You will spend your time leading the team, shaping the function, and partnering with the business. You will stay close enough to the technology to make sound decisions and step in for critical issues and business continuity when needed.

WHAT YOU WILL OWN

Lead the IT Organization

You will inherit a team of IT staff and external consultants/contractors. Your focus will be leading this team, investing in their growth, and ensuring the department is set up to deliver as American Eagle continues to grow. You will develop direct reports through regular one-on-ones, performance conversations, and development planning, and partner with HR on hiring and succession planning.

Shape the Technology Direction

You will own the technology roadmap in line with American Eagle’s growth and expansion beyond Utah. This includes identifying and prioritizing opportunities for AI, automation, and data-driven decision-making to drive operational excellence and business scalability, and leading the evaluation and adoption of new tools and platforms that improve how the business runs.

Serve as a Strategic Partner to the Business

At American Eagle, technology exists to keep crews productive, plants running, and the business scaling. You will provide strategic and operational technology leadership as a trusted partner to the CEO and functional leaders, shaping priorities, informing decisions, and ensuring technology enables the business. You will translate business goals into technology roadmaps and technology tradeoffs into business language the executive team can act on.

Oversee IT Operations

You will oversee the IT team delivering service desk, network operations, and business application support, ensuring efficient operation of the systems supporting American Eagle’s 24/7 business. You will manage vendor relationships for ERP, business applications, and infrastructure. You will provide hands-on technical leadership for critical issues, complex implementations, and business continuity events as needed, while leading the team on day-to-day execution. You will oversee disaster recovery and business continuity planning, and ensure the team maintains accurate inventory of IT hardware, software, and licenses.

Coordinate with Quanta Services Corporate IT

American Eagle operates within the Quanta Services governance framework. You will partner with Quanta Services Corporate IT on cybersecurity, infrastructure standards, enterprise applications, and shared services. You will serve as the primary IT contact for American Eagle in Quanta Services IT meetings and coordinate corporate investments that accelerate American Eagle’s roadmap.

WHAT YOU BRING

Required

●        Ten or more years of progressive IT experience, including at least five years in IT management or leadership roles with direct accountability for teams and budgets.

●        Strong business acumen. You understand how the business makes money, how it manages risk, and how technology creates or destroys value in that context. IT is a driver of business value, not a cost center.

●        Demonstrated experience leading and developing an IT team: hiring, structuring, prioritizing, and delivering under real resource constraints.

●        Familiarity with AI, automation, and data strategy, and a practical understanding of where data-driven decisions create value in operationally intensive businesses.

●        Operational familiarity with ERP, SQL/Oracle databases, and the infrastructure common in multi-site environments—networking, virtualization, Active Directory, and Windows and Linux/UNIX systems—sufficient to lead the teams that administer them.

●        Familiarity with SOX controls, internal and external audit readiness within a public company. You lead the team that operates within this framework you do not have to be the technical expert on it.

●        Experience managing IT budgets and vendor relationships with a bias toward total cost of ownership and business outcomes.

●        Exceptional communication skills. You will work directly with the CEO, executive leadership, operations and plant managers, and Quanta Services corporate stakeholders.

Strongly Preferred

●        Experience in construction, concrete, industrial, or multi-site operations.

●        Familiarity with legacy platforms common in industrial IT environments.

●        Experience within the Quanta Services family of companies, or with other large corporate operating company structures.

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field required. Master’s degree or MBA preferred.

REQUIREMENTS AND LOCATION

Location: Draper, Utah.

Travel: As needed to company plants and sites.

Schedule: Full-time, exempt. Availability required during operational hours, which may include early mornings, late evenings, and occasional weekends.

Physical Requirements: Prolonged sitting and computer use; occasional lifting of up to 30 pounds of IT equipment during hands-on support situations; bending, kneeling, and climbing as required for hardware installation and maintenance.
