A Day in the Life of a Recruiting and Onboarding Specialist The full‑cycle recruitment process includes posting job openings on various platforms, conducting initial phone screenings, scheduling interviews with hiring managers, and maintaining constant communication with candidates. You will develop and maintain candidate pipelines for hard‑to‑fill roles while tracking all recruitment activities in our HRIS/ATS system. You will also oversee the onboarding process by preparing new hire packets, coordinating background checks, scheduling orientations, and managing an organized workflow. At career fairs and community outreach events, you will represent Owen Health Care, fostering a positive candidate experience and ensuring timely, professional communication. Does This Sound Like You? To excel in this position, you should have a bachelor’s or associate’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field. HR certification (PHR or SHRM‑CP) is a bonus. A background of 2–3 years in recruiting, onboarding, or HR administration—preferably within the healthcare or human services sectors—is essential. You must demonstrate a strong understanding of recruitment processes, HR compliance, and onboarding procedures, along with proficiency in HRIS/ATS systems and the Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills are required, as well as the ability to manage multiple tasks while meeting strict deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
