Talent Acquisition Specialist II Location: Columbia, MD (Hybrid – 3 days onsite / 2 days remote) Duration: 6+ month contract (potential extension and/or conversion opportunity) Experience: 3–5+ years of recruiting experience Our client is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist II to join their growing Talent Acquisition team and support high‑volume recruiting efforts across multiple business functions. This is an excellent opportunity for a recruiter who enjoys partnering with hiring managers, providing strategic recruiting guidance, and taking ownership of the full recruitment lifecycle. The ideal candidate will bring a strong mix of corporate and agency recruiting experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to act as a trusted recruiting advisor. This person will be responsible for managing open requisitions, leading intake discussions, building candidate pipelines, and providing consultative support to hiring managers throughout the hiring process. Position Overview The Talent Acquisition Specialist will support recruiting efforts across a variety of departments, including HR, Accounting & Finance, Operations, and Corporate functions. This role will manage multiple open positions concurrently and serve as a subject‑matter expert for hiring teams by providing recruiting strategy, market insights, and guidance throughout the hiring process. Key Responsibilities Manage full‑cycle recruitment processes, including intake meetings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, offer management, and onboarding support. Partner with hiring managers and HR Business Partners to understand hiring needs and develop effective recruiting strategies. Lead intake meetings and provide consultative guidance on candidate profiles, market availability, and recruiting approaches. Source and engage both active and passive candidates through various recruiting channels. Review resumes and provide thoughtful candidate recommendations with clear rationale behind submissions. Act as a trusted recruiting advisor by confidently communicating recruiting insights and professionally challenging hiring decisions when necessary. Maintain strong relationships with hiring managers through consistent communication, updates, and follow‑up. Manage candidate pipelines and ensure a positive candidate experience throughout the process. Track recruiting activity, requisitions, and candidate information within an applicant tracking system. Provide weekly status updates and recruiting metrics to the hiring team. Identify opportunities to improve recruiting processes and implement best practices. Support job description development, interview processes, and offer documentation. Assist with training and sharing recruiting best practices with the internal team. Required Qualifications 3+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience. Experience recruiting across a variety of business functions and roles. Strong ability to partner with hiring managers and serve as a recruiting consultant. Excellent communication skills with a customer‑service mindset. Ability to manage multiple requisitions and priorities in a fast‑paced environment. Strong sourcing and candidate evaluation skills. Experience conducting intake meetings and gathering detailed position requirements. Ability to confidently present candidates and explain recruiting decisions. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Previous staffing agency and/or corporate recruiting experience preferred. Experience supporting a high‑volume recruiting environment. Workday Recruiting experience strongly preferred; experience with other ATS platforms will be considered. Experience recruiting across HR, Finance, Operations, and corporate functions. Experience improving recruiting processes and workflow. Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
