This role puts you in charge of the comprehensive management of facilities operations, ensuring every aspect of the built environment runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely. Your strategic thinking and operational excellence will directly impact how people experience their workplace, from managing critical building systems to implementing sustainability initiatives that align with organizational goals. You'll coordinate cross-functional teams, manage budgets, and drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance operational performance. This position requires someone who can balance the technical demands of facility management with strong relationship-building skills, as you'll be collaborating with stakeholders at all levels to ensure facilities support business objectives and create environments where people can do their best work.What your day-to-day will look like:Oversee all aspects of facility operations including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems to ensure optimal performance and regulatory complianceManage vendor relationships and service contracts, evaluating performance and negotiating terms to deliver quality service while optimizing costsDevelop and execute preventive maintenance programs that minimize downtime and extend the lifecycle of building assets and equipmentLead capital improvement projects from planning through execution, coordinating with contractors, architects, and internal stakeholders to deliver on time and within budgetConduct regular facility inspections and audits to identify opportunities for improvement in safety, efficiency, and sustainabilityRespond to emergency situations and implement business continuity plans to protect people, property, and operationsMonitor and manage facility budgets, tracking expenses and identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising service qualityCoordinate space planning and workplace changes to support evolving business needs and enhance employee experiencePrepare reports and presentations for leadership that communicate facility performance metrics, project status, and strategic recommendationsRequired qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum 5 years of progressive experience in facility management or building operations, preferably in C-suite environmentsStrong knowledge of building systems, codes, and regulations including OSHA, ADA, and local building codesProven experience managing budgets, vendor contracts, and capital projectsExcellent problem-solving abilities with a track record of implementing effective solutions under pressureStrong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levelsProficiency in computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) and Microsoft Office SuiteValid driver's license and ability to travel between multiple sites as neededPreferred qualifications:Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Facility Management Professional (FMP), or similar professional certificationExperience with sustainability initiatives and green building certifications such as LEEDBackground in project management with PMP certification or equivalent credentialsKnowledge of smart building technologies and integrated workplace management systemsExperience managing facilities in the corporate, healthcare, or higher education sectorsFamiliarity with lease administration and space utilization analyticsAdvanced degree in related fieldThis position does not provide visa sponsorship. Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.Estimated compensation for this position:110,000.00 – 160,000.00 USD per yearThis range is an estimate and actual compensation may differ.
