Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Profession: Nursing Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: 24 months of medical surgical experience in a hospital or medical center setting required Strong heparin experience required 3 months minimum of current travel experience within the previous 12 months required Post-operative surgical experience required Spine care experience required License: Active Iowa/IA license or compact/multistate required Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) from AHA or ARC required Must-Have: Active nursing license Professional reference from a charge nurse, supervisor, nurse manager, director, or CNO within the last 24 months preferred Driver's license required Skills checklist specific to the discipline must be provided Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse with Med Surg experience. The nurse will work on a Med Surg unit providing care to post-operative and spine surgery patients. The nurse is expected to float across various campuses as needed. The nurse will be required to manage heparin drips and provide high-quality patient care. Flexibility to work holidays is required unless the unit is closed. Nurses will be expected to have experience with the EPIC electronic medical record system. Strong clinical skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment are essential. This position may involve working with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6 during night shifts. Candidates should demonstrate the ability to handle dynamic situations and deliver patient care efficiently.
