Maintenance Technician (1st Shift)

Maintenance TechnicianResponsible for advanced maintenance and repairs of facility and industrial equipment, enhancing productivity through the installation of new machinery, designing electrical systems, programming PLCs, and documenting their activities while participating in training programs to ensure skill development and safety compliance.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Carries out responsibilities with safety and efficiency as a priority. Prioritizes the well-being of colleagues and actively contributes to the safety program by collaborating, sharing ideas, and voicing concerns. Adheres to training guidelines, policies, and procedures while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Proactively identifies and addresses potential hazards.Troubleshoot, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment.Install, modify, and maintain machinery and systems to ensure optimal performance.Accurately reads blueprints, schematics, micrometers, calipers, tape measures, and wiring diagrams in making repair and adjustments.Performs construction, plumbing, concrete, and carpentry work to support building repairs and reconstruction projects.Works independently or as a team with minimal supervision, demonstrating strong self-management skills.Accurately completes all required paperwork and enters job-related data into computer systems.Operates forklifts, overhead cranes, and other material handling equipment to safely and efficiently transport materials as required.Shift:1st Shift - 6:00am - 4:30pm2nd Shift - 4:30pm - 3:00amEducation:High School Diploma, or GED, preferred.The Company:Putting the needs of customers first has taken Chief Industries, Inc. from a small construction company in 1954, to a highly diverse company with a reputation for manufacturing quality products and offering unparalleled customer service. Previous experience in a Maintenance Mechanic or similar industrial maintenance role. Welding experience is a plus, though not required. Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and adherence to workplace safety protocols. Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills with the ability to resolve equipment issues efficiently.
