Law Firm Billing Clerk

O'Hagan Meyer isseekinga reliable and detail-oriented Billing Clerk to join our busy law firm in the Chicago Loop. The ideal candidate will have initiative, a sharp eye fordetail,and take pride inproducingerror-free work. The right candidate willalsodemonstratediscretion,professionalism,and a proactive approach to problem-solving, helping to ensure that billing processes run smoothly and efficiently. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Monitoring the general billing inbox Help billing team with performing edits to attorneys' time at the prebill stage Look over finalized work, reviewing for errors or duplicate entries before turning in the final product Prepare emails to clients with approved invoices under deductibles Other tasks as assigned by department leadership Qualifications, Skills and Abilities Accurate typing skills Proficiencyin Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, Word) and Adobe (PDFs) Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills Proficiencyin data/task management Clear, professional communication skills and a team-player mindset Ability to prioritize tasks and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced setting Assistwith projects as needed and other duties as assigned Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able tolift upto 15 pounds at times Position isfull-timeMonday through Friday. On-site forthe firstsixty days. After this period, and with manager approval, the schedule will transition to a hybrid model, with three days per week in-office. Availability for overtime.
