Assistant Professor/Clinical - Endocrinologist UT Health San Antonio Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine Department of Medicine - Division of Endocrinology Endocrinologist The Division of Endocrinology in the Department of Medicine, Joe R. and Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine at UT Health San Antonio is seeking a full-time academic Endocrinologist at the Assistant Professor faculty rank. Candidate must have experience in clinical endocrinology, thyroid diseases, and/or diabetes. This faculty position is required to meet the growing needs of the Endocrine clinical practice at UT Health San Antonio- Gateway Clinic, UHS Endocrine Clinic at Texas Diabetes Institute, and perform Endocrine consults at University Hospital and UT Health San Antonio Multispecialty and Research Hospital. Qualified candidates must have an MD or DO degree and be board-eligible or board-certified in Endocrinology. In addition, candidates must be licensed by the Texas Medical Board. Successful candidates will mentor Fellows, assist learners in clinical research, and pursue scholarly activities. Time Off- A generous leave program offers multiple paid leave options: Front-loaded Paid Time Off: 128 to 208 hours (16 to 26 days) of Paid Time Off based on years of service, given at the start of each fiscal year. PTO may be prorated in year one based on date of hire. Extended Illness Bank: 8 hours (1 day) accrued per month which can be used for illness or injury after one day of Paid Time Off is taken. Paid Family Leave: Up to 240 hours (6 weeks) to care for a spouse, child, or parent after 6 months of consecutive employment. Holidays: 12 set paid holidays each fiscal year.
