About the Position

Job Title: Respiratory Therapist Profession: Respiratory / Neuro Diagnostics Specialty: RRT Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 hours (18:15 - 06:45) Experience: Minimum 1 year in a clinical setting License: Active state license required Certifications: BLS required, ACLS and PALS preferred Must-Have: Epic charting experience required Description: RRT position on 12-hour night shifts. Every other weekend is required. No call is required for this position. Accepts first-time travelers. Responsibilities include administering treatments such as nebulizers, chest physiotherapy, and high flow oxygen. Experience in performing non-invasive ventilation and assisting with intubations is necessary. Will assist with bronchoscopy and manage mechanical ventilation. Experience with the transport of mechanically ventilated patients is required. Position involves working with patients from infants to geriatrics. Preferred experience includes pediatrics only if competency is demonstrated. Unit accepts adults and has a variety of patient diagnoses including those in trauma and critical care. Previous experience in acute care, emergency room settings, and adult ICUs is required. Preferred skills include airway management, medication administration, and suctioning among others. Familiarity with equipment such as Puritan Bennett, Draeger, and Servo is preferred. Trauma experience in a teaching hospital is a plus. Experience with continuous albuterol delivery is beneficial. All applicants must have the ability to handle emergencies and provide care across all age groups. References are required for all candidates. Background checks will be conducted, and any issues must be approved before the offer. Drug screening is mandatory before starting the position.
