Accountant II

WCS Healthcare Partners is seeking a qualified individual for a temp-to-permanent opportunity in Hollywood, Florida. This position is fully on-site and involves performing moderately complex accounting and financial-management functions. The successful candidate will operate with minimal supervision and independently analyze financial data to support management decision-making and financial reporting.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare financial reports and assist with budget analysis
• Support grant reporting and related compliance requirements
• Perform debt-compliance reviews and account reconciliations
• Assist with internal audits and cash-management activities
• Maintain and reconcile fixed-asset records
• Apply governmental fund-accounting principles
• Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management
• Ensure compliance with applicable accounting standards
• Maintain accurate financial records using automated accounting systems

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Minimum of three years of Staff Accountant or related accounting experience
• Governmental accounting or auditing experience required
• Fixed-asset accounting experience required
• Knowledge of governmental GAAP and GASB 34 reporting requirements
• CPA preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Valid Florida driver's license
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional evenings, weekends, and holidays

Additional Requirements:

• Must be comfortable working fully on-site in Hollywood
• Must pass a national background check and 10-panel drug screening
• Candidates seeking compensation above $80,000 cannot be considered
