About the Role
Big Country Title seeks a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our growing Accounting & Finance team. Reporting directly to the VP of Accounting & Finance, this position will play a critical role in maintaining accurate financial records across multiple companies.
The ideal candidate is organized, dependable, and comfortable managing recurring accounting responsibilities while helping improve processes and efficiency as our organization continues to grow.
What You'll Do
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities
Process and reconcile company credit card transactions
Perform bank and balance sheet account reconciliations
Assist with month-end close and financial reporting
Maintain accurate general ledger records
Support accounting operations across multiple entities
Work within QuickBooks Online and other software
Support year-end reporting, 1099 preparation, and CPA requests
Identify discrepancies and help strengthen accounting controls
Qualifications
Required
Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field, or equivalent accounting experience
Experience with AP, AR, reconciliations, and general ledger accounting
Strong Excel skills
Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
Staff Accountant, Accounting Specialist, or Full-Charge Bookkeeper experience
QuickBooks Online experience
Multi-entity accounting experience
Month-end close experience
Payroll and intercompany accounting experience
AppFolio experience
