Assistant Manager II

Job Overview We’re seeking an Assistant Store Manager to join our team to help with store operations, customer service, and team development. Responsibilities Assist with store functions and day-to-day activities. Help customers in a positive, approachable manner and address questions or concerns. Organize and transfer merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor; maintain seasonal areas. Perform opening and closing procedures. Process corporate directives including pull and hold/ destroy, task compliance, key survey information requests, and other communications. Maintain promotional effectiveness of store‑front fixtures and displays. Assist in ordering merchandise, processing damaged merchandise, and record‑keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits and receipts). Maintain areas of the store: well‑stocked sales floor, organized stockroom per company standards; protect and secure company assets and cash. Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure store associates follow policies. Help the Store Manager supervise, train, and develop associates. Ensure a positive, safe, respectful environment for customers, associates, and leaders. Maintain store cleanliness: bathrooms, floors, trash, and overall presentation. Perform other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience High‑school diploma or equivalent preferred. Ability to read, interpret, and explain operational directives. Store‑management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store environment preferred. Able to lift up to 55 lbs, frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills. Ability to work in a high‑energy team environment. Exceptional customer service, organizational, and communication skills.
