Senior Mechanical Engineer

Mid-Level Mechanical EngineerWe are currently hiring a mid-level Mechanical Engineer in our Building Engineering Division – Energy Infrastructure team in our Syracuse, Elmira, or Ithaca, NY offices.LaBella's Energy Infrastructure team provides comprehensive energy efficiency and renewable energy consultancy, including feasibility analyses, and design of mechanical systems. Our engineers are well-versed in all aspects of building and energy systems design relating to a variety of new construction, renovations, and design/build projects for a variety of clientele.The Mechanical Engineer will work with our engineers in a lead role on a variety of decarbonization/electrification projects to develop projects in feasibility stages all the way through design and construction. A successful candidate will be able to work well in a team, mentor junior engineers, and communicate effectively with clients.DutiesLead design of building HVAC systems and district energy systemsField investigations to document existing conditionsSelection and calculations for design purposesWork with Jr Engineers to develop and review project drawings and documentationInteract directly with clients by completing analysis of design options, cost benefit comparisons, and communicating results to assist in decision making process.Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and utility requirements
