Paralegal Workers Compensation

Job Description Providing paralegal support for two or more attorneys, completing tasks assigned in a timely fashion and managing/meeting deadlines, with strong attention to detail. Skills/Abilities: Knowledge of WordPerfect Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Knowledge of Case Management Software The workers’ compensation paralegal position may involve some or all of the following duties: Receipt and preparation of new cases Initial file organization, including docketing of initial case & client deadlines in Orion and Outlook Use of the case management system FileVine Record daily time entry into Orion Prepare discovery requests and receipt of responses from opposing counsel Prepare and update Case List summaries Scanning and filing of discovery, pleadings, and other file materials (including medical records) Scheduling of depositions and mediations and preparation of notices Perform online research, including criminal records/background checks Prepare documents for production pursuant to discovery requests Calendar hearings, depositions, mediations, Pre-Trial agreements, discovery, and other deadlines – many received from the ICMS system Daily review of the calendar regarding deadlines with the attorney Weekly case list review meetings with the attorney Prepare Stipulations, Release, and Affidavits Prepare witness/exhibit lists, subpoenas, and contact witnesses Any other tasks that may be assigned by Management or Supervising Attorneys Company Description Levy, Sibley, Foreman & Speir, LLC is a law firm that routinely represents insurers and employers/businesses of all sizes in civil litigation and workers’ compensation defense. #J-18808-Ljbffr Levy Sibley Foreman & Speir
