Job Title: Quality Assurance (QA) Inspector - 1st Shift


Pay Rate: $18.00-$23.00/hour


Schedule/Shift: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM


Employment Type: Full-Time, Temp-to-Hire

Summary:
Inspect electronic assemblies, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with customer specifications, IPC standards, and company quality requirements. This role supports quality control efforts within an electronics manufacturing environment by performing detailed inspections and maintaining quality documentation.


Responsibilities:

• Perform visual and dimensional inspections of PCB assemblies, subassemblies, and wiring using IPC-A-610 and/or J-STD-001 standards.
• Verify soldering quality, component placement, polarity, and overall workmanship.
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) and verify production setup requirements.
• Generate nonconformance reports (NCRs) and assist with the disposition of defective materials.
• Support quality audits, calibration activities, and compliance with ISO 9001:2015 standards.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical training in electronics preferred.
• Minimum one year of inspection experience in an EMS or electronics manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of IPC-A-610, J-STD-001, and related quality standards preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret assembly drawings, schematics, and bills of materials (BOMs).
• Proficiency using microscopes, calipers, and other inspection and measuring equipment.
