Key Responsibilities
- Assemble battery modules, battery packs, and BESS enclosures following work instructions and engineering drawings.
- Install electrical, mechanical, and thermal management components.
- Perform torque-controlled fastening operations and verify results.
- Route and secure cables, harnesses, and connectors.
- Install Battery Management System (BMS) components and associated electronics.
- Conduct visual inspections and basic electrical testing.
- Identify and document defects, non-conformances, and quality issues.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area using 5S principles.
- Support production goals, continuous improvement initiatives, and cross-training efforts.
Required:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 1-3 years of manufacturing, assembly, or production experience.
- Ability to read assembly instructions, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
- Experience using hand tools, power tools, and torque tools.
- Basic computer skills for documentation and manufacturing systems.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Experience with lithium-ion batteries, EVs, or energy storage products.
- Electrical assembly experience.
- IPC-A-610 familiarity.
- ESD handling experience.
- Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
