UPMC Presbyterian is seeking a Pharmacy Technician Supervisor to oversee evening-shift inpatient pharmacy operations. This position is responsible for the direct supervision of pharmacy technicians, ensuring efficient workflows, staff competency, and adherence to departmental standards. The supervisor will support operational improvements, staff development, and the implementation of new technologies and processes associated with upcoming facility and system enhancements. Candidates should demonstrate strong leadership, effective communication skills, and the ability to manage operations in a dynamic, fast paced environment.

• Completion of high school diploma or equivalent required.

• 5 years of experience as a Pharmacy Technician, 2 of which should be in a leadership capacity.

• Analytical/problem solving ability necessary to participate in the development of department procedures and goals.

• Participate in the analyses of operational problem and proposals and direct inventory control. Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with all levels of hospital personnel, communicate with vendors, and cooperate with the nursing and medical staffs.

• Supervisory skills necessary to plan, organize, coordinate, and direct the activities of both professional and non-professional employees.

• Ability to work independently.

• Ability to prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner to manage multiple projects.

• Personal computer skills.Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) required
