Job Overview A law firm seeks an Insurance Defense Attorney in Atlanta, GA. The successful candidate will represent insurance carriers and policyholders in defending against various claims, including personal injury and property damage. This role offers the opportunity to work on diverse cases and develop litigation skills in a collaborative legal environment. Duties Manage a caseload of insurance defense matters, including personal injury and property claims. Conduct comprehensive legal research using platforms like Westlaw and LexisNexis. Draft and review legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and settlement agreements. Develop negotiation skills to achieve favorable settlements for clients. Prepare for and participate in depositions, mediations, hearings, and trials. Maintain meticulous case files and utilize legal case management systems. Stay current on relevant laws and regulations across various practice areas. Requirements Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school with active bar admission in Georgia. Experience in insurance defense or related litigation fields. Proficiency with legal research platforms such as Westlaw and LexisNexis. Excellent negotiation skills and ability to analyze complex legal issues. Strong organizational skills with experience in legal administrative tasks.
