About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 year in an acute hospital with OB experience License: New York license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP required Must-Have: Must have experience in LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) and Newborn Nursery. EPIC charting experience required. Description: We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a background in Labor and Delivery. The RN will provide comprehensive independent care to patients throughout all phases of antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care. Candidates should have experience in antepartum, intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn assessment. Weekend coverage will be required on a rotating basis, every other weekend. On-call duties are required, and nurses may float within their skill set. Experience with emergency situations and high-risk deliveries is essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise in the administration of medications, including but not limited to, magnesium sulfate therapy and insulin drips. Skills required include neonatal resuscitation, patient triage, cesarean section circulation and recovery, as well as effective patient and family education. All RNs will perform independently in triage, labor, immediate recovery, and newborn care. Candidates should be prepared to assist with high-risk deliveries and have a solid understanding of fetal heart rate monitoring. Experience with blood product administration, catheter management, and pain assessment is expected. Charting proficiency in EPIC is a mandatory requirement for this role. The RN will work closely with an interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care.
