Job Summary:
The Dallas-based Labor and Delivery specialty position is a high-risk obstetrical nursing role working within a womens hospital. The position involves providing comprehensive labor and delivery care, including vaginal deliveries and cesarean sections, on a night shift schedule. The successful candidate will support the high-acuity obstetrical unit and work within a collaborative team environment.

Job Details:

• Location: Dallas, TX
• Shift Schedule: 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM 7:00 AM, with a minimum of 36 hours per week
• Required Qualifications: Certified in high risk obstetrical bedside training, circulating in cesarean section procedures within the labor and delivery area, recovering high-acuity patients, with a minimum of 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery experience.
• Preferred Qualifications: Experience with GE fetal monitors, documentation using Meditech and CPNS systems, and advanced skills in obstetrical care.
• Experience: At least 2 years of high-risk labor and delivery care.
• Schedule: Night shifts, 7p-7a, working 3-12 hours shifts per week, with weekend rotation and floating as needed.
• Additional Information: This position involves working in a high-volume unit with patient ratios estimated at 2:1 and 3:1, utilizing GE fetal monitors, and performing procedures such as vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections, D&C, and post-delivery recovery. Candidates must adhere to dress code standards including neat and clean attire, no artificial nails, and appropriate body art coverage.
