A complete solution from a single source, Vossloh offers the most in overall rail infrastructure investment.Position SummaryThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing general repair, preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of facility systems, buildings, equipment, and machinery. This role supports safe and efficient operations by maintaining electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and structural systems while ensuring compliance with company safety standards and operational procedures.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesPerform routine maintenance, inspections, and repairs on facility systems and equipment.Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and structural issues.Conduct preventative maintenance to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.Repair and maintain building systems including doors, walls, flooring, lighting, and fixtures.Operate and maintain tools, machinery, and maintenance equipment safely and effectively.Assist with welding, fabrication, machining, and mechanical repairs as needed.Operate heavy equipment and powered industrial equipment when required and authorized.Respond to emergency maintenance requests in a timely manner.Read and interpret blueprints, technical manuals, schematics, and work orders.Maintain accurate maintenance records, inspections, and repair documentation.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.Coordinate with vendors, contractors, and other departments to complete maintenance projects.Maintain clean and organized work areas and maintenance shops.QualificationsHigh school diploma or GED required; technical or trade school certification preferred.Minimum of 2 years of maintenance, facilities, or skilled trades experience preferred.Working knowledge of: Electrical systemsPlumbing systemsHVAC systemsCarpentry and general building maintenanceMechanical repair and preventative maintenanceAbility to use hand tools, power tools, diagnostic equipment, and maintenance machinery.Welding, machining, or fabrication experience is a plus.Heavy equipment operation experience preferred where applicable.Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple tasks.Good communication and teamwork skills.Physical RequirementsAbility to lift up to 50 pounds regularly.Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces.Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying temperatures and environments.Must be able to safely operate maintenance equipment and vehicles.Work AvailabilityMust maintain regular and acceptable attendance according to company guidelines.Must be available and willing to work overtime, weekends and holidays as the employer determines are necessary or desirable to meet its business needs.Work EnvironmentEmployees will be exposed to temperature and humidity variations through the seasons of the year and may, at times, be outdoors for short periods at any time – walking or travelling between buildings or off-site entities.The employee will also perform part of their work in a typical office environment at a workstation with computers and other equipment with normal levels of noise.Personal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as requiredVossloh is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
