Position: Slitter Operator (Day Shift & Night Shift Available )Location: Elk Grove VillageShift: 5:45 AM – 6:15 PM OR 5:45 PM – 6:15 AM | 12-hour continental schedule (3 days one week, 4 days the next, off every other weekend)Pay Rate: $21.74/hour ($2.00 shift differential if applicable)Summary DescriptionThe Slitter Operator I is responsible for operating slitting and roll handling equipment to meet customer specifications while maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. This role supports production flow through machine operation, material handling, and quality verification.What You’ll Be DoingSet up and operate core cutting and roll wrapping equipmentCut cores to required sizes and ensure proper supply for slitting jobsWeigh, label, and wrap finished rolls per job specificationsPalletize finished rolls and move them to the finished goods areaPerform quality checks before and after production runsReview customer specifications and ensure complianceConduct final inspections of finished rollsFollow GMPs, SOPs, 5S, and DTM proceduresPerform data entry in Shop Floor and Quality systemsCommunicate machine status and job details during shift changesAssist with preventative maintenance as scheduledIssue work orders for equipment or repair needsFollow all food safety and allergen control requirementsReport safety concerns, incidents, and quality issues immediatelyProvide break relief coverage for Slitter OperatorsSupport other shifts or departments as neededParticipate in Global Performance System (GPS) activitiesWe’d Love to Hear From You IfYou have experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment (preferred)You can read, write, and communicate effectively in EnglishYou have basic data entry and computer skillsYou are comfortable using tools and measuring devices (standard and metric)You have experience with pallet wrapping, forklifts, or material handling equipmentYou can operate or are willing to learn overhead hoist systemsYou are reliable and able to work 12-hour shiftsQualificationsHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent experienceAbility to read rulers and perform basic measurementsMechanical aptitude and attention to detailStrong commitment to safety, quality, and teamworkBenefitsAt TOPPAN Packaging Americas, we offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package designed to support overall wellbeing.
