What You Will Do

• Set up and operate multiple horizontal lathes simultaneously while meeting production and quality standards.
• Modify and edit existing G-code and M-code programs.
• Set up workholding fixtures and establish tool offsets.
• Perform tool touch-offs, tool changes, offset adjustments, and drilling operations on horizontal lathes.
• Lay out parts and machine patterns onto steel as required.
• Use handheld inspection tools to verify finished parts meet specifications.
• Work collaboratively with the Engineering and Quality departments.
• After training, train additional personnel in learned duties, regardless of their experience level.
• With minimal training, produce finished parts daily for at least two weeks while meeting company production standards without assistance from a supervisor or trainer.

Who We Are Looking For

• CNC Experience: Previous CNC operations experience and a certificate of CNC course completion are required.
• Technical Skills: Ability to demonstrate horizontal-lathe skills, including tool touch-off, offsetting, tool changes, and drilling.
• Computer Knowledge: Working knowledge of PCs and Microsoft Windows is required.
• Inspection Skills: Demonstrated knowledge of handheld inspection tools is required.
• Teamwork: Ability to work well with others and collaborate with Engineering and Quality.

What Makes You Stand Out

• Experience with Fanuc controllers is strongly preferred but not required.
