Aramark Healthcare+ is seeking candidates for a Chef Manager position at Tewksbury Hospital, located in Tewksbury, MA. The Chef Manager is responsible for developing and executing culinary solutions to meet customer needs and tastes. Offers a wide variety of culinary solutions to meet customer and client needs and tastes. Oversees and manages culinary operations to meet production, presentation, and service standards. Applies culinary techniques to food preparation and manages the final presentation and service of food. The schedule for this position will be Monday through Friday, Day shift and may vary at times, with occasional weekends.
Job Responsibilities
- Manages production for the retail cafeteria and light catering.
- Train and manage kitchen personnel and supervise/coordinate all related culinary activities
- Estimate food consumption and requisition or purchase food
- Select and develop recipes as well as standardize production recipes to ensure consistent quality
- Establish presentation technique and quality standards, and plan and price menus
- Ensure proper equipment operation/maintenance and ensure proper safety and sanitation in kitchen
- Oversee special catering events and may also offer culinary instruction and/or demonstrates culinary techniques
Qualifications
- Requires at least 2 years' experience in a culinary management role
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Culinary Arts degree desired
- SERV Safe certification or HACCP knowledge required
- Proficient with computer programs including Mircrosoft Office Suite and production systems required
- Cash handling experience is a plus
