Description

The House Manager at Progressive Careers & Housing, Inc. is responsible for participating as a member of the facility team to ensure safe and effective residential facilities. The House Manager assists with overseeing all aspects of the Community Integrated Living Arrangement facilities (CILAs) which includes; but is not limited to client care and support personnel. The House Manager is a positive role model, adaptable, mission oriented, goal driven, highly organized, efficient, and exercises good judgment and decision making skills.

Ensure that CILAs are in compliance with current policies and procedures, state and federal rules and regulations, and assists with ongoing development, reviews and revisions.

Ensure sufficient supply of household necessities such as food (minimum of one week worth of food), program supplies, cleaning supplies, completion of all maintenance requests, etc. and is responsible for the overall appearance of the home.

Ensure staff is providing necessary training and support to residents in their everyday activities.

Implement Individual Service Plans (ISP) and review individuals' needs with QIDP to assure they are receiving appropriate services.

Assure maintenance of required house documentation (ISP, data tracking sheets, POS, etc.).

Responsible for staffing pattern at home and remaining available for staff issues and/or shift emergency coverage as needed.

Report any unsafe or unhealthy conditions immediately to QIDP.

Monitor and ensure proper implementation/procedure of disaster drills.

Manage household petty cash/link and proper documentation and submission of purchases/receipts to QIDP.

Maintain company vehicles; including but not limited to; mileage logs, submittal of gas receipts, monitoring of gas tank (no less than ¼ full), routine cleaning service and repairs, reporting service needs to maintenance in a timely manner, etc.

Schedule, coordinate, chair and attend staffings, house meetings such as QA, safety, infection control, treatment review, human rights, clinical monitoring and pharmacy committees.

Verify Therap/Communication Logs are current with necessary information provided by agency.

Provide supervision of direct care staff, Direct Support Professionals' (DSPs) On the Job Training (OJT) while maintaining positive working relationship. This also includes; but is not limited to monitoring completion of OJT packets, new employee orientation, assisting with performance evaluations, scheduling, preparing job assignments, completing reviews, disciplinary actions, etc.

Ensure that all clients are offered opportunities for community integration and that all clients' rights are upheld and treated with dignity and respect. Always place the safety and welfare of the clients first.

Conduct routine inspections of facilities and prepare necessary reports and follow up as directed.

Complete projects and special assignments by establishing objectives, determining priorities; managing time; gaining cooperation of others; monitoring progress; problem-solving; making adjustments to plans.

Other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Must be a certified Direct Support Professional (DSP) or enroll in the course, achieve a passing score and become certified.

1 year experience working directly with developmentally disabled persons preferred.

Must have valid driver's license and comply with company policy for driving vehicles.

Be willing to accept and respect supervision and assume responsibility for assigned work, follow established policies and procedures and follow instructions.

Ability to handle sensitive information and situations discretely and confidentially.

Excellent computer skills; Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.

Attention to detail and accuracy of information.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to prioritize and manage multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment to meet deadlines with efficiency and accuracy.
