For nearly 30 years, ABC Children's Center has been serving the State College community. ABC is located next to Grays Woods Elementary School, nestled among trees in a park like setting. Currently, we have around 16 full-time and four part-time staff members, most of whom have been with ABC for at least five years or more. We have a position open for an energetic and motivated individual that would be able to establish and maintain a safe and creative learning environment for our toddlers. This full-time position would be Monday-Friday, 8:30-5:30 with a one-hour break.Responsibilities includeImplementing our toddler curriculumCreating creative lesson plans based on the approved curriculumCommunicating daily with parentsMaintaining a neat, organized classroomProviding a nurturing, caring environment for the children in your careAbility to work independently and within our teamQualificationsAt least 18 years of age with a college degree or CDA. At least two years of experience with children (in a childcare center preferred)Ability to communicate effectively with children and parents, both written and verballyHave, or be willing to get, required clearancesHave, or be willing to get, a physical with TB test BenefitsMedical insuranceDental insurance401(k)Paid holidaysPaid vacation timeDisability insuranceTuition assistance for higher educationChildcare DiscountWeekdays only - evenings and weekends off!ABC is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
