Job Summary The Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing all production operations, including surplus and repair value streams, inventory, parts, and material flow. This role focuses on achieving performance goals in safety, quality, delivery, customer satisfaction, inventory accuracy, and productivity. The Operations Manager drives continuous improvement, develops team capability, and ensures efficient workflow, systems, and processes to support business growth. Location: Glendale, AZ, US Key Responsibilities Lead and develop a diverse team of Operations Specialists, Technicians, and Support Staff. Build leadership capability through training, performance management, and succession planning. Manage daily operations to ensure on‑time delivery, product quality, and optimal resource utilization. Develop and implement process improvements that enhance efficiency and reduce downtime. Promote and enforce quality and safety standards in compliance with regulations and company policies. Analyze operational data and KPIs to identify trends, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, sales, and customer service to optimize processes and ensure customer satisfaction. Manage budgets, ensure cost control, and monitor financial performance of operational areas. Stay informed on industry trends and technology to improve production and service capabilities. Lead special operational projects, including new equipment integration and process optimization initiatives. Metrics Daily goal attainment and on‑time delivery Customer satisfaction and lead time reduction Production throughput and backlog management Warranty and “beyond economical repair” (BER) rates Cost efficiency and resource optimization Supervisory Responsibilities Manage all site operations, including production, warehouse, and receiving teams. Supervise and develop Specialists, Technicians, and other support staff. Knowledge & Skills Required Strong leadership and team development skills. Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and organizational abilities. Results‑oriented with attention to detail and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment. Proven ability to improve processes and align systems with business goals. Data‑driven decision-making and proficiency in performance management. Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business, STEM, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). 3–5 years of experience in operations, production, or quality management preferred. Experience leading cross‑functional teams in a manufacturing or service environment. Knowledge of industrial or technical products a plus. Physical Demands Occasional sitting, reaching/working overhead, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching or crawling. Frequent walking. Continuous standing and repetitive hand motion. Lifting requirements include frequent lifting of up to 50 pounds and continuous lifting of up to 10 pounds. Work Schedule The position requires a schedule that aligns with company and production needs, typically 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday through Friday, with possible extended shifts, nights, or weekends as necessary. Work Environment The environment is a mix of office and production areas. Casual but professional attire is required.
