Details Work in a high acuity Surgical ICU and Transplant ICU setting Patient ratio of 1:2 Night shift, 3x12-hour shifts from 18:45 to 07:15 with potential for 4x12 scheduling Float requirement to other ICUs and step-down units Epic EMR experience required Provides general post-op care for surgical recovery patients Supports transplant recovery for liver, heart, lung, kidney, and pancreas patients Preferred experience with PA catheters and balloon pumps Experience with Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT/CVVHD) preferred No on-call requirement No block scheduling requests accepted Requirements Active Compact or LA RN license required in hand at time of submission Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (AHA) required Minimum 2 years of specialty ICU experience required Required transplant experience: liver, heart, lung, kidney, or pancreas Post cardiac surgery experience (directly from OR) required Prior travel nursing experience required Skilled in arterial line, central line, and PICC line management Experience with ventilator management, ABG interpretation, and respiratory therapies Experience titrating cardiac and vasoactive drips Experience managing patients with multisystem organ dysfunction/failure NURSYS report required, updated within 4 weeks of submission Additional Information May be assigned to an Emergency Team requiring facility presence until the event concludes or relief arrives Must reside more than 65 miles from the facility to be considered (local candidates not accepted) RTO must be disclosed and discussed during the interview process No call-ins permitted for scheduled shifts Two Manager/Supervisor references required prior to start (Charge RN references not accepted) Orientation is held five days a week Previous permanent staff or in-house agency contractors must be separated from the health system for one full year before returning as a travel employee First-time travelers are not eligible for this position due to required prior travel experience American Traveler Job ID P-749454.
