The EyeCare Advisor creates exceptional value in the lives of customers by delivering the LensCrafters experience and ensuring the highest quality Optometric care, supporting the doctor and retail functions to align patient care with store operations. Major Duties & Responsibilities Greets customers promptly to create a welcoming environment. Answers the telephone promptly and courteously. Explains all required paperwork, tests, products and services to customers. Reviews prescriptions and patient information carefully; identifies special needs and consults with Optician, Managing Doctor, or Retail Management when necessary. Provides patient and customer care with patience and courtesy. Performs work accurately and thoroughly under time pressure and with high customer volume. Identifies unsatisfied customers and acts quickly to resolve issues. Demonstrates knowledge of appointment scheduling procedures and computer systems. Maintains patient records in an organized and HIPAA-compliant manner. Places contact lens orders, processes shipments, and submits invoices for payment. Operates the POS system to input customer/patient and prescription information accurately. Processes payments following company security procedures, handling various transaction types (credit cards, layaways, discounts, insurance, coupons) appropriately. Explains One Hour processing and expected delivery times to customers. Maintains store appearance and ensures displays comply with company guidelines. Maintains a safe working environment for all associates and patients. Responds quickly to changes in store promotions with communications and point-of-purchase materials. Retail Demonstrates strong product knowledge; describes features and benefits of lenses and frames. Assists customers in selecting frames and lenses that suit vision, lifestyle, and budget. Doctor's Office Performs pre-examination testing with accuracy and explains measurements to patients. Provides coaching on care and handling of contact lenses using clinical and product knowledge. Maintains and disinfects contact lens inventory and provides clinical support to the Optometrist as needed. Basic Qualifications High School graduate or equivalent Strong customer service skills (internal and external) Knowledge of current fashion trends Strong communication and listening skills Problem solving ability Familiarity with cash register, computers and calculators Organizational skills Sales skills Strong basic math skills Knowledge of office and store merchandise Preferred Qualifications Previous experience in customer service, retail and/or optical Strong interpersonal skills We are an Equal Opportunity Employer.
