Job Description

The Physical Therapist evaluates all assigned patients and develops, implements, and modifies treatment plans based on patient needs and physician direction. Responsibilities include delegating and directing all therapy services for assigned patients, ensuring the design of functional treatment programs to facilitate an effective return to community activities, and serving as an educator for patients, families, students, and coworkers. The role also emphasizes adherence to professional conduct and safety standards, focusing on patient and employee safety.

Responsibilities

• Complete comprehensive evaluations of assigned patients and develop appropriate treatment plans focused on timely discharge.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to overcome discharge barriers, ensuring necessary training and planning for continuing services.
• Manage individual and group treatment sessions effectively based on patient care needs.
• Document medical records accurately and promptly, complying with all regulations and organizational policies.
• Participate in student programs as assigned, providing supervision and evaluations.
• Engage in professional development through continuing education and active participation in professional activities.
• Contribute to advocacy efforts at both patient and professional levels.
• Uphold discipline-specific State Practice Act and maintain professional licensure in good standing.
• Understand and participate in organizational performance improvement initiatives.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current valid State license as a Physical Therapist.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent inpatient rehab experience.
• BLS Certification required prior to the first shift.
