Retail Staff Pharmacist - Florence, MA

Job Description

Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree, active Pharmacist license, and minimum 1+ years Pharmacist experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for a dedicated pharmacist to serve as the pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) or staff pharmacist in an independent retail pharmacy setting. This role offers a chance to manage pharmacy operations with a supportive team and the potential to convert to a permanent position.

Responsibilities:

Oversee daily pharmacy functions ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations
Manage prescription order entry through computer RX systems efficiently and accurately
Supervise and support a team of three pharmacy technicians
Provide exceptional patient care and medication counseling
Maintain inventory control and assist in workflow optimization
Serve as Pharmacy Manager if promoted from staff pharmacist

Qualifications:

Licensed pharmacist in Massachusetts with an active pharmacy license
Previous retail pharmacy experience required
PIC experience is highly valued; staff pharmacists interested in advancing to Pharmacy Manager are encouraged to apply
Strong organizational and leadership skills
Ability to work independently as the sole pharmacist/manager on-site

Schedule & Location:

Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Located in Florence, Massachusetts
Contract-to-hire assignment lasting approximately 13 weeks
