Senior Manager/Associate Director, Information Technology

Nkarta Therapeutics seeks a Senior Manager/Associate Director of Information Technology to lead the IT function for a clinical-stage biotechnology company advancing NK cell therapies. The role combines strategic oversight of IT infrastructure, security, and compliance with hands-on operational support and team management.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute IT strategy, infrastructure planning, and security program aligned with clinical trial advancement
• Provide direct hands-on IT support for day-to-day operations and end-user troubleshooting across the organization
• Manage one IT employee and oversee performance of outsourced IT consulting firm and managed service provider
• Design and maintain network, server, cloud, and computing infrastructure for clinical, manufacturing, and quality operations
• Ensure GxP-regulated computer systems achieve and maintain validation compliance with 21 CFR Part 11 standards

Requirements

• Proven leadership experience managing IT departments in regulated life sciences or pharmaceutical environments
• Deep expertise in GxP compliance, 21 CFR Part 11, and validated computer systems
• Strong cybersecurity knowledge including endpoint protection, identity management, and incident response
• Experience with IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, and enterprise applications in healthcare settings
• Ability to manage direct reports and external IT consulting/managed service provider relationships
• Hands-on technical troubleshooting and support capabilities
