Help
Interprets and applies policies and mandated procedures to all shipments, reviews commodities to be shipped for items which have size or weight of such a nature that particular handling, loading, or carrier equipment is required.
Handles shipments involving nonrecurring origin or destination points, non-consistent route patterns, consolidation to junction points for shipment in smaller lots to different destinations, or remote locations.
Verifies shipper is authorized to ship HAZMAT and has documented proof of such authorization.
Completes inspection checklist for all HAZMAT shipments through the Transportation Division; accepts or rejects based upon regulatory compliance.
Utilizes a variety of Department of the Army (DA)/Department of Defense (DoD) mandated automated systems to accomplish actions necessary to accomplish routing, carrier selection, shipment costs, bill of lading preparation.
