IT Support Specialist

Salary: $59,424 - 76,066 per year Requirements:

• We require a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or five years of demonstrated experience, or a combination of education and experience that supports successful performance in the role.
• We require proficiency with MS Office and Google Workspace.
• We prefer familiarity with MUNIS and other database systems, as well as computer hardware and software applications.
• We expect experience troubleshooting network connectivity and VPN-related issues, along with a basic understanding of routing and switching concepts.
• We require successful completion of CORI/SORI checks.
• We require a valid Class D drivers license.
• We require an acceptable driving record and the ability to be insured under our policy.
• We require participation in an emergency on-call rotation.

• We provide skilled technical and administrative support to our Technology Department operations.
• We support the Citys information technology environment, including hardware, software, and systems support for City departments and the school payroll department as assigned.
• We deliver end-user training, guidance, and assistance for IT hardware, software, networking issues, and other related electronic equipment or programs.
• We respond to helpdesk requests and work to resolve end-user issues promptly and effectively during normal business hours and while on emergency on-call duty.
• We serve as the first point of contact for hardware and software/SaaS support needs.
• We document incidents and resolutions, escalating issues to the Network Administrator and IT Director when needed.
• We create guides and standard operating procedures to streamline recurring requests and common problem resolutions.
• We assign users and computers to the appropriate Active Directory groups and maintain user and email accounts with access to required files, systems, and programs.
• We perform password resets and desktop repairs.
• We assist with PC setup and deployment for new employees using standard hardware and software.
• We support onboarding for new users.
