This position is located in Mesa, Arizona and requires 2-5 years of experience. A Bachelor's degree in nursing is required, along with a Registered Nurse (R.N.) license in the state of employment. In an ambulatory setting, obtaining a CCM (Certified Case Manager) within 3 years of accepting the position is necessary. The role demands considerable experience with appropriate age-specific patient populations, typically demonstrated through at least 2 years of management experience and two years of providing direct, clinical care in a patient setting. Demonstrated flexibility in responding to the needs of multiple constituencies with a service-oriented philosophy is essential, along with skills in problem analysis, project management, contract negotiation, conflict resolution, and oral/written presentation. A strong working knowledge of utilization management, care management, regulatory standards, and reimbursement across the continuum of care is required.

The position is responsible for the development and implementation of case and utilization management programs and services. It provides leadership, direction, and support for Case Management Services to achieve quality outcomes, reduce costs, and ensure high patient, physician, and employee satisfaction. The role also includes managing the financial and capital resources for case management services, developing and overseeing the department budget, and assessing patient satisfaction to improve it as measured by survey scores.
