Maintenance Technician - ElectricalThis position is responsible for the installation & troubleshooting of all CNC machines and misc. other equipment with minimum assistance and performing TPMs in a timely manner with proper coordination with production, engineering, and other departments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical systems, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance within an industrial setting. Successful candidates will have forward-thinking, continuous improvement capabilities, and maintain 100% adherence to Morgan Olson's safety & PPS practices and policies, along with excellent attendance, self-motivation, teamwork skills, and the ability to work overtime as needed.Essential Functions and Activities:Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical issues using schematics, diagrams and testing equipment on CNCs and other related production and facility machine-related items, including robotics and laser systems.Install, maintain and upgrade electrical systems including motors, drives, PLC's and control panelsAccurately report technical conditions and information on all facets of maintenance as needed to production and maintenance employees.Work as required with minimal or no supervision, along with the ability to multi-task and prioritize small to large repairs. Schedule repairs through completion as needed on a regular basis.Travel as needed. (Possible training, crossline action, etc.).Interact with other employees on use and repair of CNC & other misc. equipment in a complete and organized manner.Must be proficient at reading and interpreting blueprints, misc. PLCs, ladder logic, and various schematics associated with production and facility equipment (Programming preferred).Complete required weekly & monthly TPMs, PM's & PPS reports in an accurate and timely manner.Adheres to Safety policies and practices behavioral based safety 100% of the time.Physical Requirements/Hazards:Job requires extensive standing, stooping, or bending, lifting, reaching, twisting, and turning to assemble parts. Lifting will involve fabricated parts and assemblies weighing anywhere from several pounds to 50 pounds. Parts weighing more than 50 pounds are handled with a hoist or with help from another team member.PPE: Safety shoes, Safety glasses with side shields are always required. Other PPE such as hearing protection, gloves, safety goggles, respirators, etc. may be required depending upon the task at hand.Qualifications:Two-year technical school degree in Engineering principles, a Journeyman's license, or a suitable combination of education and work experienceExperience in computer software/file management is requiredMust be able to read schematics and blueprintsExperience with PLC's, VFD"s and industrial automation systems requiredExcellent organizational and communication skills overallAbility to work flexible hours including overtime and weekends when neededMust be able to lift 50 lbs. without the aidBenefits:Medical, Dental, Vision, 401(k)Company paid life insurance10 company paid holidaysVacation and personal timeEqual Opportunity Employer
