Jack in the Box – Assistant Manager: Store 0015 Chula Vista, CA 91911 – $20.00 - $24.00 / hour – full time Job Description Responsible for managing restaurant operations, in conjunction with or in the absence of the Restaurant Manager. Uses discretion in daily management decisions with accountability for ensuring effective execution of the Service Profit Chain (SPC) and Brand Promise. Primary responsibilities include providing excellent internal service, external service, and building restaurant sales and profit while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements. Key Duties / Responsibilities Internal Service: Recruits, selects, trains, develops, and evaluates restaurant employees. Monitors staffing levels, implements training systems, identifies and develops internal candidates for management and Team Leader positions. Ensures effective execution of "My Promise to You" and the Service Profit Chain; creates a friendly, fun, clean, and safe environment; motivates and inspires employees; complies with labor laws. External Service: Manages daily activities to achieve excellence in restaurant operational performance. Ensures guests receive an exceptional experience, trains employees in guest service and food quality, monitors adherence to JIB systems, procedures, and food safety requirements. Responds to guest concerns and maintains a positive brand image. Higher Profits: Partners with the Restaurant Manager to analyze operational and financial performance, identify trends, and implement action plans to increase sales and profitability while protecting the brand. Monitors costs and adherence to budget and goals. Training / Coaching / Development: Motivates and inspires employees, trains and coaches, identifies potential for promotion, and provides timely performance feedback. Qualifications Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred. Experience: Minimum 1 year as a Shift Leader or Assistant Manager in a customer service environment (internal promote); or minimum 3 years as an Assistant Manager with P&L responsibility (external recruit). Must be 100% certified in all workstations. Knowledge / Skills / Abilities: At least 18 years old, Assistant Manager training completed, ServSafe certified, English proficiency, interpersonal skills, basic math, analytical thinking, organization. Valid driver's license, insurance, personal vehicle for bank deposits or travel. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk 85-95% of shift, lift 10-65 lbs, move freely, operate equipment and a computer keyboard, drive a motor vehicle.
