Staff Pharmacist: Per-Diem

Overview Community Memorial Hospital is hiring a Per-Diem Staff Pharmacist! Responsibilities and Duties: All dispensing functions Compounding and preparing ordered pharmaceutical preparations, including irrigation solutions, intravenous additive solutions, and chemotherapy as required using aseptic technique in the appropriate environment. Contacting and conferring physicians if there are any questions or irregularities regarding medication orders. Maintaining patient profiles. Filling and checking medication cassettes. Making computer entries as required. Supervising inventory levels as required. Consulting with physician and nursing staff concerning availability, form, side effects, and incompatibilities of currently available drugs. Participation in the pharmacy department’s aminoglycoside pharmacokinetic consult service including ordering of medication and ordering and monitoring of required lab work. Maintaining inventory and records of narcotics. Organizing daily operational activities. Pharmacy interns and pharmacy assistants are under the supervision of pharmacists. Other duties as assigned. Job Requirements: Bachelor of Science Degree/ Pharm D in Pharmacy with current New York State registration. Residency within maximum distance from hospital in order to be available when “on-call”. Previous hospital experience preferred but not required. Job Type: Per-Diem Salary: $53.78 – $66.55 per hour Schedule: Holidays Weekends as needed.
