Job Description:
As a Senior AI Developer Tech Lead, you will lead AI-driven software engineering initiatives and large-scale application modernization efforts. You will combine expertise in Java, cloud-native architecture, distributed systems, and Generative AI technologies to design innovative solutions, mentor engineering teams, and drive high-quality delivery across the software development lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design, architecture, and development of large-scale, cloud-native applications from concept to deployment.
• Drive AI-assisted software development practices using Generative AI tools and modern engineering workflows.
• Mentor and guide development teams while establishing coding standards, architecture principles, and best practices.
• Design scalable microservices, APIs, and distributed systems supporting high-volume transactions.
• Lead modernization initiatives migrating legacy platforms to cloud-based architectures.
• Collaborate with architects, product owners, and cross-functional teams to deliver business solutions.
• Establish and promote AI-assisted development standards, prompt engineering practices, and agentic workflows.
• Oversee code reviews, automated testing, performance optimization, and production readiness activities.
• Ensure successful implementation of CI/CD, containerization, and cloud deployment strategies.
• Create and maintain architecture, design, and technical documentation while communicating technical direction to stakeholders.

Required Skills, Experiences, Education, and Competencies:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 12+ years of software engineering experience with Java, Spring Framework, cloud development, and web services.
• Proven experience serving as a Technical Lead or Team Lead with responsibility for mentoring and developing engineers.
• Hands-on experience with GenAI tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, GPT, Gemini, or similar AI-assisted development platforms.
• Experience designing and architecting enterprise systems from the ground up in greenfield environments.
• Strong knowledge of agentic workflows, prompt engineering, spec-driven development, and AI-assisted SDLC practices.
• 6+ years of experience with microservices, containers, cloud platforms, and CI/CD pipelines in highly available environments.
• Experience with AWS, GCP, PCF, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Aerospike, and large-scale distributed architectures.
• 2+ years of experience implementing AI/ML solutions, Large Language Models, and system modernization initiatives.
• Excellent leadership, communication, Agile, architecture, and problem-solving skills; experience in financial services, Kafka/RabbitMQ, Jira, and Confluence is preferred.

The hourly range for roles of this nature are $60.00 to $90.00/hr. Rates are heavily dependent on skills, experience, location, and industry.
