Job Opportunity: Orthopedic Surgeon

Our organization is a physician-led multispecialty group with over 500 providers, currently in search of a residency-trained Orthopedic Surgeon to become part of a thriving surgical practice.

This role necessitates a proactive mindset towards developing practices for the residents of Idaho and surrounding states. A key focus of this position is to enhance the understanding of foot and ankle orthopedics through research and educational initiatives. Our expanding practice offers a comprehensive array of orthopedic services, particularly centered on foot and ankle care. Whether it’s performing total joint replacements or assisting athletes in their recovery to return to sports, our primary commitment is to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Engage in practice development for the regional population.
• Conduct research and educational activities in foot and ankle orthopedics.
• Provide a full spectrum of orthopedic services.
• Participate in general orthopedic call, primarily in Nampa, with a 1:5 rotation.
• Maintain a typical clinic schedule from Monday to Friday, ensuring a minimum of 32 patient contact hours weekly, along with procedures, rounding, and consultations.

Support and Resources

Our organization provides extensive support, including:

• 24/7 CRNA Anesthesia services.
• Access to various surgical specialties: general surgery, orthopedics, ENT, gynecology, urology, and endoscopy.
• Hospital-based imaging services with a 24/7 radiology department.
• In-house coverage for general radiology and CT, along with after-hours call for Ultrasound and Nuclear Medicine.
• Comprehensive imaging services including MRI, Breast Care Center, and X-ray (CR and DR image capture).
• Support from the Saint Alphonsus network of Specialty and Primary Care clinics.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree.
• Successful completion of an ACGME or CanERA accredited orthopedic residency program.
• Board certification through the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS) or the American Osteopathic Board of Orthopedic Surgery (AOBOS), or the ability to obtain certification within three years.
• Active membership in good standing with the American Orthopaedic Foot and Ankle Society.
• Ability to secure medical licensure in Idaho and Oregon, along with privileges at SARMC and other affiliated hospitals as required.
• Valid controlled substance registration with the Board of Pharmacy and DEA.
• Willingness to participate in general orthopedic call.
