Medical Scribe

Job Summary We are looking for a Scribe Tech to capture accurate and detailed documentation of patient visits into the EMR, assist physicians with basic patient care and medical procedures, support site managers with patient flow, inventory, and lab compliance, and provide outstanding customer service. Responsibilities Capture accurate documentation of patient visits into the EMR in a timely manner. Assist the physician with basic patient care and medical procedures (phlebotomy, urine drug screens, rapid point‑of‑care testing, UA, EKG, procedure set‑ups, etc.). Assist site managers with directing patient flow, inventory, and follow‑up on labs. Ensure site lab and exam rooms comply with Department of Health regulations (logbook maintenance, medication and supply checks, specimen handling, etc.). Escort patients to exam rooms, x‑rays or other facilities on site as needed. Maintain a quick pace in a fast‑paced urgent‑care facility for the duration of the scheduled shift (8‑12 hours, excluding meals and breaks). Facilitate necessary diagnostic tests (CT, MRI, ultrasounds, etc.) and referrals to medical specialists via Aftercare. Communicate with patients, pharmacies, and physicians over the phone under physician guidance. Help maintain a clean, courteous, and professional working environment. Ensure the site is fully stocked with supplies. Provide compassionate care to patients. Qualifications High school degree or GED; undergraduate degree a plus. Graduation from an accredited Medical Assisting program and/or phlebotomy certifications a plus but not required; training will be provided. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire. English language speaking and writing skills required. Friendly and professional with excellent bedside manner. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills. High attention to detail and ability to work independently. Strong organizational, problem‑solving, communication, and interpersonal skills. Computer proficiency. Team player and capable of working a full‑time schedule, including a weekend day. Flexible and adaptable in a continuously evolving environment. Bilingual language skills required or preferred based on site location. Knowledge of third‑party payer requirements preferred. Ability to lift light to moderate weight (e.g., boxes of supplies) and maintain a quick pace during shifts. Compensation Pay Rate: $20.58 per hour.
