RF Test Engineer

Position Overview Silvus is seeking a full‑time RF Test Engineer who will report to the Director of RF Engineering on the RF Engineering team. The role is 100% onsite Monday through Friday, located in Rancho Bernardo, North San Diego, CA. Key Responsibilities Use RF test equipment to evaluate system performance, compliance, and troubleshoot operational issues. Carry out RF test execution and generate status and test reports. Define verification matrix and internal specifications of RF performance. Review test result data to ensure that actual performance meets expected requirements. Review and recommend improvements to existing test strategies. Recommend new test techniques and technologies to ensure system performance. Design test fixtures and calibrate test equipment. Properly use and handle sensitive RF circuits and equipment. Required Qualifications Bachelor of Science (or higher) in Electrical Engineering. Minimum 2 years of multi‑GHz RF hardware test experience. Hands‑on experience with RF test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, signal generators, vector network analyzer, etc. Experience with component‑level RF circuit characterization and optimization. Strong troubleshooting skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to provide a clear summary of test status and any issues to the broader team. Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Knowledge of RF guidelines for PCB layout. Test automation using Python or LabView. Excellent bench skills. Ability to work independently and simultaneously on several projects. Self‑motivated with a proactive approach to problem‑solving. Detail‑oriented and committed to quality. Ability to work in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team environment. Problem‑solving, data analysis, deductive reasoning, and critical thinking skills.
