Overview The MO HealthNet Division has an opening for a Benefit Program Senior Specialist within the Clinical Program and Policy Unit located in Cole County . Individual(s) selected for this position may receive a higher rate based on a pay differential (e.g. shift, or time-of-service pay). Annual Salary: $48,496.56 Job Location: This position is located at the Howerton State Office Building ; 615 Howerton Court, Jefferson City, MO. This is a responsible and independent position that will be responsible for assisting Program Specialists with programs such as Hospital, Therapy, Ambulance, Hearing Aid, Optical, Transplant, Dental, and other duties as assigned. What you’ll do Assist with updating policies as needed due to legislative changes or identified issues Assist with researching, developing, and implementing policy based on state and federal requirements Assist Program Specialist with testing claims in Model Office Assist with provider manual and website updates for assigned programs Assist with ongoing oversight of assigned program areas through monitoring reports, claims, and inquiries Help resolve legislative inquiries for assigned programs Prepare meeting minutes for monthly MHD Collaboration meetings Process MO HealthNet consultant invoices for assigned programs Ensure program and policy public facing documents are ADA accessible Review and process prior authorizations and requests for change for assigned programs Review and price claims that require manual pricing for assigned programs Review and respond to internal and external inquiries for assigned programs Other duties as assigned Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree and 1-3 years of relevant experience. Preferred Qualifications Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to communicate complex ideas, plans, procedures, and programs through written and verbal communication Attention to detail, ability to meet deadlines, and excellent time management skills Maintain a thorough knowledge of MO HealthNet policies and procedures, state/federal regulations and statutes associated with assigned programs Relevant experience with policy and interpretation Lack of post-secondary education will not be used as the sole basis denying consideration to any applicant.
