RN Adult Peds Weekend

About The Unit This unit is a 20-bed pediatric/adult overflow med/surg unit. We see patients from 2 days old to 100+ years old. Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 for regular med/surg patients on day shift and 1:6 on night shift. High-acuity pediatric patients may be 1:3. No PICU level patients. Scope of Work This is a Weekend Program consisting of working 48 out of 52 weekends in various locations throughout the system as needed. The weekend is defined as shifts between the hours of 3:00 p.m. Friday and 7:30 a.m. Monday. Specific times may vary according to location and need. As an RN, you will utilize the ANA scope of practice and the nursing process to provide professional nursing care. You will incorporate patient-family-centered care principles to assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and discharge. You provide quality patient care under the direction of the Nurse Leader according to Corewell Health policies and procedures and recognize the impact of nursing care and patient/family partnerships on patient outcomes. You partner with patients/families, utilize their input and goals in planning care, develop teaching strategies, and document education appropriately in the health record. Qualifications Associate’s in Nursing Bachelor’s in Nursing within 5 years Graduates from a non-accredited school of nursing must have at least one year of acute care experience or at least two years of experience in a licensed health care role and must have successfully passed the NCLEX licensure examination.
